Warehouse hall

Definition

A warehouse hall is, in essence, very similar to a production hall. The main difference between these two units is their primary function. A warehouse hall is used for storing goods of various types. In halls of this kind, you can store anything you need, produce, or distribute.

In the case of purchase, warehouse halls are usually custom-built according to the exact requirements of the customer and can have various designs. The most common types on the market are steel halls or tent halls. Tent halls, however, are very sensitive to seasonal conditions and cannot be used year-round. On the other hand, they are much cheaper than steel halls.

What should warehouse halls contain?

Warehouse halls should have high ceilings to accommodate tall shelving systems that save space within the hall. Goods are moved daily, so it is necessary to establish an efficient route between storage areas and loading or unloading zones. Internal logistics are therefore extremely important in warehouse halls.

Finally, warehouse halls should have properly installed insulation. Since loading and unloading of goods occurs frequently, heat loss can happen, leading to high energy consumption. The advantage of steel halls is their flexibility in insulation. For example, you can choose to insulate only a part of the hall (e.g., administrative areas) or the entire hall.
