Extract from the cadastre

Definition

The extract from the cadastre of real estate contains all information about the owner, the property itself, and also indicates whether the property has any encumbrances attached. The extract from the cadastre is also referred to as the title deed.

Details Included in the Extract

It is a public document that can be obtained at the relevant cadastral office. You must request the title deed at the cadastral office in the city where you have permanent residence. A copy is always issued, not the original. This informative document can also be obtained online from the cadastral office website.

The cadastral extract must include:

  • District, municipality, cadastral area of the property
  • Title deed number
  • Area in m², type of building, type of land
  • Registration number, parcel number of the land
  • Owners, share
  • Type of property acquisition
  • Mortgage, easements

We most often request a cadastral extract when we are interested in purchasing a property or land. Through the extract, we can determine all essential information related to the given property.
