Agricultural land

Definition

Agricultural land includes arable land, hop fields, vineyards, gardens, orchards, and permanent grassland. Like any other plot, agricultural land is a precisely defined and bounded part of land that may be subject to civil law relationships.

Legal Status

Agricultural land is not considered building land. However, it is possible to convert agricultural land into building land. Such a change requires a decision by the competent authority to remove the land from its agricultural classification in the Real Estate Cadastre and to re-register it so that it is officially designated and recorded as building land.
